The premiere line-up starting this friday is looking increasingly huge at ten new titles coming to town so far. So, this blog posting will be another quick spotlight on the few additional film-related events happening now and in a short while.

Every month until August 2011, select Cineplex theatres are screening classic Hollywood movies. The Maltese Falcon. It's a Wonderful Life. The Wizard of Oz. Some of the greats. First Afghan Film Festival

Organized by Mrs. Zuhra Ludin, wife of the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Canada, this new film fest features 6 screenings (1 thursday and friday, 4 saturday) at the University of Ottawa this week. The money raised is earmarked for the building of a school in Afghanistan.
